Now at this point the user can either leave the site if has no further interest or continue to look around and eventually make a purchase.

So articles make you money because you become an authority on a subject, the user finds your article through either a search engine, forum, blog or social network and then the user finds there way to your money site through your article author biography box at the end of the article which contains links to your website.
