12 High Traffic Classified Sites To Place Your Ads On
This week we are going introduce using free and paid classifieds to get targeted traffic to your Residual Wealth Factor website or your GDI website. I have put together a list of the top 12 classified websites online. This list was compiled using sites that have the highest page rank and highest Alexa ranking. For those of you that don’t know what page rank or Alexa is, it is basically a system put in place to determine the authority of a website and the amount of traffic in gets. Google assigns page rank to websites from 0-10, with 10 being the best. You can think of page rank as votes for your website. The higher the number, the more authority it has. Alexa is website that tries to analyze the traffic going to a website with a ranking system called Alexa rank. The lower the number here, the more the site is being visited, although it’s been said to be very inacurate and easily inflated, but most of the sites with really low numbers are the most visited in the world including Craigslist which has an Alexa rank of 65 currently.
Before you place your classifieds, it’s a good idea to do some keyword research first. A lot of times sites like Craigslist and US Free Ads show up in search engine results for certain keywords.

Here are some sample keywords that you can input that are great for finding people that would be into GDI and RWF:

When you put these search terms in, they will return lots of long tail keywords related to them and also the amount of times they are searched every day. You want to try and target a keyword that gets around 50-200 searches a day. Anything more and it will be extremely difficult to near impossible. Forget about ranking for something generic like”make money online”. Although you can do it eventually, it’s not going to happen with one classified ad.
You want to take the keyword you choose to optimize for and include it in your ad title and body copy:
For example yesterday I placed an ad on Craigslist with the keyword “simple home business” This is a copy of what my ad looks like:

I will be putting up more samples for you to copy as I test them in the future for maximum conversions, but that’s basically it. You want to write a short ad with a call to action and get them to your lead capture page so they sign up into your Aweber autoresponder.

A couple of more tips for classified advertising:
1. Link your classifieds to other classifieds. For example if you place an ad in US Free Ads you can place a similar ad on Craigslist and backlink it to your US Free Ads classified. This will give you extra search engine juice. Repeat this with as many sites as possible.
2. Bookmark your ads with Onlywire. This will get you even more backlinks to classified ads and more search traffic.
3. Don’t make exaggerated claims of income. Be honest and try to offer something free to the user.
4. Last but most importantly, don’t forget to track your ads! You need to know which sites are getting you signups and you need to split test your ads to see which ones perform the best.

Just remember to market yourself more than the opportunity. Set up a profile about yourself and tell people about what you do and mention GDI and Residual Wealth Factor.

I also wanted to tell you that I just bought some article directory software and will be putting up my own directory soon which should be another source of free targeted traffic for us. I am really excited about things going on right now and happy to see that some of you are showing lots of interest. Establish Your Authority And Presence Online Through Forum Marketing
Next to article marketing, the one thing that I spend a lot of time on and you should start doing right now is forum marketing. There is a right way and a wrong way to do this and you must do it right the first time or you will be seen as a spammer with no credibility and only trying to get your link seen and clicked by people.
Forums drive traffic to your website because they allow you to place a signature link in the bottom of your post. When people read your post and you deliver some kind of answer to their question they might notice your call to action in the signature link. They then click on it and are brought to your website or lead capture page. Our goal is to get people to sign up for the Residual Wealth Factor e-course so this is the link that we will be promoting.
There exist forums on virtually every know topic online. What we will be doing is joining forums that are related to our niche so we want to find forums that are related to MLM, network marketing, Internet marketing, affiliate marketing, web hosting, domain names, making money online, business opportunities, etc…
It is a good idea to join under two different user names. One will be for asking questions and the other will be for answering questions. Try and spent anywhere fro 20-30 minutes every day hanging around the forums and posting. After awhile people will start to recognize your name and associate it with trust and authority. When you have this kind of reputation, people will be more willing to buy from you or sign up for your program, in this case sign up for GDI.
Before we get more into forum marketing, I want you to download this free program called “Forum Fortunes”. This neat little program makes it possible to organize all of your forum marketing campaigns and saves your user names and passwords for all of the forums you belong to. It also lets you bookmark forum posts and keep track of all of the conversations you have going on at one time. It’s shareware, but I think you can also buy it for real cheap on eBay. That’s where I got it from. I am not sure if this version of it expires or not.

Setting Up Your Signature File
After joining the forum that you choose, you are going to go to the user profile manager and update your signature link. Some forums let you use HTML, but some run on another forum code called BBCode which is very similar.
Here is an example of a signature that I use using BBCode and HTML:

Anything in between the tags will be anchor text and become clickable. I suggest you take a look at other people’s sigs and see how they do it. Come up with your own unique tag line. Try to avoid anything that sounds like hype or too far fetched. You need to put some kind of call to action like we do in our article resource boxes. Always try to offer something free like a free trial offer or a free e-course like the one above. Don’t just put in something like “Click here to work at home”. Our main goal is list building with the signature file.
Begin To Answer And Ask Questions
When you first join a forum go to the section where it says introduce yourself and tell people why you are there and what you do. You then want to simply browse around the different threads and look for popular discussions and take part in them. If you don’t know how to answer someones questions, look around for answers in other forums and come back and answer in your own words.
Try and make medium sized posts and don’t just write one or two sentences. This will only make it look like you are trying to post only to get your signature seen. It is also in your best interest to write a long post because it can be picked up in the search engines and bring you more traffic.
Tip: When you are doing keyword research in Google, take note of any forum threads that may be in the top 10 listing. You can then join that forum and add to the thread and your link will now be in a thread that is indexed on the first page of Google. This is a sure way to find a thread that receives a lot of free traffic. We will cover this technique later on.
Every time you post you are also gaining a backlink to your website which is good for search engine optimization. The more backlinks you have to your website, the more search engine traffic you will get.
Where To Look For Forums?
You can simply go to Google and type your keyword in quotes followed by the word forum.
Example: If I were looking for forums on network marketing I would type in: “network marketing” forum
It will return all related forums with the word network marketing.

Article Marketing: Your First Source Of Free Traffic And Leads
If I could recommend starting out with anything, it would have to be article marketing. This is one of my favorite techniques that I use every week and it works real well. For those of you that are not writers it should not be a concern. First of all, I really sucked at writing when I first started I didn’t know how I would pull it off. I am now banging out 600-700 word articles in fifteen minutes. It gets a lot easier when you do it all the time, and if you are totally not confident in doing it you also have the option of outsourcing the work cheaply.
What Is Article Marketing?
Article marketing is simply writing articles on something you have knowledge on and submitting it to article directories online. At the end of your articles, you are allowed to place a author bio or resource box which can include a link back to your website. What happens is people search for keywords and these articles get picked up by search engines. The person reads your article and if they find it interesting or want more information, they are presented by a call to action in your author bio box which will hopefully have the answer to their problem. They then find themselves on your website and either sign up for your mailing list or leave. It’s that simple.
What Can We Write Articles On?
Our main focus is to attract the attention of people that would be interested in joining GDI. To do this we are going to write and submit articles on subjects based around these areas:
1. Internet Marketing: Their are hundreds of sub-topics in Internet marketing.
2. Multi Level Marketing or MLM also known as network marketing: Lead generation, prospecting, downline building
3. Web Hosting: Shared hosting, free hosting, hosting companies
4. Domain Names: Articles about the domain industry, buying and selling domains
5. Review Articles: These are the best articles to write. Try coming up with a article reviewing GDI or Residual Wealth Factor. You can also write articles comparing two companies or products.
Tip: Try and come up with articles like: How to….., Tips on….., Frequently Asked Questions, Secrets of…., etc.
The goal is to provide the reader with useful information. What will begin to happen is as you do this more and more, your name will be associated with being an authority in your field. People will then begin to trust you and everything you say. They will be more open to checking out your business opportunity and buying what you recommend.
How To Write Articles
All articles follow a basic style format and are usually between 450-500 words.
Title: The title of your article that will grab the readers attention. Be sure to include a keyword.
Introduction: Your first words which will tell the readers what you are writing about and what they will learn.
Paragraph 1: Each paragraph will be devoted to one point.
Paragraph 2: Second point
Paragraph 3: Third point
Conclusion: Sum up everything you have talked about and tell the reader your final thoughts and advice.
About The Author: Include a “call to action” telling the reader to visit your website for more information. Always try to offer something of value like a free report or newsletter. In our case we would be telling people to sign up for the free 7 day Residual Wealth Factor e-course or trying out GDI risk free for one week.
Article Marketing Research
Finding topics to write articles on is easy. First we are going to do keyword research. We will use the free keyword tool from SEO Book. Go here: http://tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/index.php
Type in a search term like MLM or Internet marketing and look at the results. This is how many times people are searching for various keywords. We are going to use these keywords in the title of our articles and also in the body of the articles. This is what will get picked up in the search engines.
Next go to Google and type in the keyword you want to write about. Look at the results and search through them to find content that you can put into your own words. Try and find 3-4 points and these will be your paragraphs. All you have to do is add a title, introduction, and conclusion and you have your article.
You can also look at other people’s articles and use them as inspiration to rewrite your own. Another option which we will get into later is private label right articles, public domain works and hiring a freelance writer.
Writing Your Author Resource Box
This is the most important part of your article. It is what will get readers to click through to your website and sign up for the mailing list. Always include a call to action and offer more information or freebies. Here is an example of a good resource box:
